Purpose
At Birds Bakery, we've been delighting customers with freshly baked goods for over 100 years. We're looking for an experienced Night Baker to join our dedicated bakery team and help produce the products our customers know and love.
Working through the night, you'll play a key role in ensuring our shops are stocked with beautifully finished products ready for the day ahead.
Responsibilities
- Finishing a variety of bakery and confectionery products to the highest standards
- Piping creams, fillings and icings with accuracy and consistency
- Dipping and decorating products in line with Birds Bakery specifications
- Preparing products for baking and dispatch
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Working efficiently as part of a busy production team
- Able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of machinery and baking processes
- Able to demonstrate ability to work to a high standard in an efficient, clean and tidy manner, observing the highest food hygiene guidelines to meet strict despatch deadlines.

Shifts
The role is 45 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 nights, with various shift start times. The role will require working 1 in 4 Saturday nights to support our 7-day operation.

Experience
- Ideally, applicants will also have confectionery skills such as creaming, piping and coating
- Previous experience in a bakery, confectionery or food production environment
- Strong finishing skills, including piping, dipping and decorating
- Great attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality products
- Ability to work independently and maintain standards during night shifts
- Good time management and reliability
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
