Night Care Assistant

We are looking for caring, reliable and professional Waking Night Care Assistants to join our friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working nights and wants to make a real difference by providing reassurance, companionship and high-quality care when clients need it most.

Your responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes during overnight hours.
- Carry out scheduled welfare checks to ensure clients remain safe and comfortable.
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence support.
- Assist with repositioning and mobility to promote comfort and prevent pressure damage.
- Support clients with medication administration where trained and authorised.
- Prepare light snacks and drinks, encouraging hydration where appropriate.
- Provide reassurance and companionship to reduce anxiety during the night.
- Monitor clients for any changes in their physical or emotional wellbeing and report concerns promptly.
- Accurately complete electronic care records after each visit.
- Follow all safeguarding, infection prevention and control, medication, health and safety and lone working procedures.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies, contacting the on-call team or emergency services when required.
- Travel safely between clients' homes throughout the shift.

What we're looking for
- A caring, compassionate and dependable individual with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Confidence working independently and making informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training and continue developing professionally.
- Right to work in the UK.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own reliable vehicle are essential, as this is a community-based role involving travel between clients' homes during the night.
- Willingness to work overnight shifts, including alternate weekends.
- Enhanced DBS check (we can support with the application if required).
Full training provided
You'll receive a comprehensive induction along with mandatory training covering:

- Food Hygiene
- Health and Safety
You'll also receive regular supervision, competency assessments and ongoing support from our experienced management team.
