Gilmerton Care Home, located in the peaceful south of Edinburgh, offers exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care. Our home provides a warm, family-like environment with modern, comfortable living spaces, engaging activities, and personalised care plans.

Care Assistant Contract
- Salary: £13.60 per hour
- Hours: Contracted to 38.5 hours per week
- Shift: Nightshift available
- Benefits: Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
- Leave: 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will support residents with daily routines, personal care, mobility, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing while encouraging independence wherever possible. Every interaction matters, and the care you provide will help ensure residents continue to feel valued, respected, and cared for in a warm and welcoming environment.

What Matters Most
- A kind, compassionate, and respectful approach towards others
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Genuine passion for supporting older people and promoting wellbeing
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Previous care experience or SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is beneficial but not essential
