Role Description

The Night Care Worker is a full-time remote role focused on providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes during night-time hours. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of clients
  • Assisting with personal care routines
  • Supporting mobility and comfort
  • Responding promptly to any night-time needs or concerns

The role involves following individual care plans, documenting observations and incidents accurately, and communicating clearly with clients, families, and other care professionals. The Night Care Worker will promote dignity, independence, and safety, while providing reassurance and companionship throughout the night. This position requires reliable availability for night shifts and adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical care skills, including personal care, mobility support, and basic health monitoring.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building trust with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts, manage time well, and remain calm in urgent situations.
  • Commitment to compassionate, person-centered care and respect for individual choices and dignity.
  • Experience in home care, end-of-life care, or similar care settings is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant care qualifications or training (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • Basic digital literacy to use remote care systems, electronic records, and communication tools.
  • Right to work in the UK and ability to meet any required background and reference checks.
