Night Care Worker

As a Night Care Worker, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to address the needs of service users, performing domestic tasks during the night and providing wakeful night duty cover for the unit. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating with relevant health professionals as needed
  • Promoting activity in line with individual care plans
  • Maintaining a high standard of the service users' physical environment
  • Handling emergency calls
  • Answering the door and telephone
  • Greet visitors professionally

You will be accountable for reading and writing reports according to CrossReach’s policies and SSSC codes of conduct, and participate in staff and service user meetings as required.

Role Details

The role operates on a 4 nights on, 4 nights off rota, with 10-hour shifts from 9:45pm until 7:45am. Your role involves working on a rota basis that includes weekends and adhering to health and safety requirements, including risk assessments. You will also undertake any necessary training to fulfill the role and comply with CrossReach’s financial procedures.

Respect for Christian worship and facilitating service users' participation in Christian worship or their worship of choice is expected. Ideally, you should possess an SVQ 2 in Social Service and Healthcare or an equivalent qualification, or be prepared to achieve this within a specified timeframe. Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and the internet, is also required.
