Security Officer
Based: London
Pay: £14.31 per hour (+£1ph discretionary bonus)
Status: Permanent
Rota: 4 nights on, 4 nights off
Servoca Secure Solutions provides a comprehensive blend of services originating in policing, the public sector and the private security sector.
The company is urgently seeking a reliable, organised and flexible Security Officer to join our Security Team, who can provide a high standard guarding and patrolling service of all access points for one of our prestige clients. This may include managing the searching/screening of personnel, patrolling, door duties or other concierge duties.
This role will allow you to progress within the security industry and work in a professional corporate environment. You will be required to conduct patrols and write reports as well as inform building management of the access and egress of contractors and signing them in and out. You will also be responsible for overseeing the email inbox and telephone systems whilst on shift in order to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

The client is a high-end firm and excellent working practice is expected. This role is ideal for someone who is a quick learner and looking to kick on in the security industry into a high end and fast paced role. The ideal candidate will be ambitious with a want to constantly improve both themselves and working practices.
The position works 19:00 to 07:00 on 4 days on, 4 days off rota and involves use of computer systems in order to complete some tasks.
Skills
There is an expectation to aid in covering colleagues when they are on holiday. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Previous Security Guarding experience is desirable
- Previous Security experience in a Corporate Business environment is desirable
- SIA front-line License in Security Guarding or Door Supervision is essential
- Experience with using internal phone systems is very desirable
- Good phone etiquette is essential
- Computer Literate with solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and E-mail is essential
- Working knowledge of BS 7858 Code of Practice is desirable
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Ability to remain alert for long periods
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly motivated
- Excellent interpersonal skills and can develop and maintain good working relationships
- Able to prioritise
