Job Description
As Night Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and safe overnight operation of the hotel, ensuring both guest satisfaction and operational security.

You will:
- Oversee night audits, end-of-day reporting, and financial reconciliation
- Act as the primary point of contact for all guest issues and emergencies overnight
- Ensure guest check-ins/outs are completed efficiently and professionally
- Monitor the building’s security and perform regular night walks and health & safety checks
- Assist with cleaning, stock control, and light F&B duties where required
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Reception to ensure next-day readiness
- Support and guide any night staff on duty, ensuring policies and standards are followed
- Respond to fire alarms or incidents in line with the hotel’s emergency procedures
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has prior experience working in a hotel front office or supervisory night role
- Understands night audit procedures (training provided if needed)
- Can stay calm and make confident decisions in emergency or high-pressure situations
- Is self-reliant, responsible, and proactive in solving problems
- Is tech-savvy and familiar with PMS systems (Opera Cloud preferred)
- Communicates clearly in English (spoken and written); other languages are a bonus
- Has the right to work in the UK and can commit to overnight shift patterns (including weekends and holidays)
