Job Description
We have immediate-start opportunities available for Night Hygiene Operatives to join our team at our Flixton site near Bungay.
- Weekly pay: £581.91
- Contracted hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift times:
- Weekdays: 10:00pm–6:00am
- Weekends: 5:00pm–5:00am
As a Night Hygiene Operative, you will play an essential role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and food safety required across our production areas.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitising floors, conveyor belts, tables, machinery and production equipment within your designated area.
- Using the high-pressure washer system safely and correctly once trained and authorised.
- Following the correct cleaning and disinfection procedures.
- Identifying, storing, dispensing and using cleaning chemicals safely.
- Inspecting your work before sanitising to ensure all parts of the equipment have been cleaned properly.
- Paying close attention to machinery undersides, difficult-to-reach areas and designated Key Inspection Points.
- Completing all assigned duties within the timescales set out in the cleaning schedule.
- Following site hygiene, food-safety and health and safety procedures at all times.
- Reporting any equipment faults, damage or hygiene concerns to your supervisor promptly.

Qualifications
Previous experience in a hygiene, cleaning, food-manufacturing or industrial environment would be helpful, but full training will be provided.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are reliable, hardworking and comfortable working night shifts.
- Can work safely and effectively as part of a team.
- Can follow detailed cleaning instructions and established procedures.
- Are willing and able to use high-pressure cleaning equipment after receiving the appropriate training.
- Can understand and follow chemical-handling and safety instructions.
- Have good attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high standards.
- Can complete physically demanding cleaning duties within the required timescales.
- Are available to work both weekday and weekend shifts as scheduled.
Strict hygiene and housekeeping standards must be followed at all times. This includes:
- Following the site’s floor bird and meat-handling procedures.
- Wearing the correct personal protective equipment for each task.
- Following the company’s jewellery policy.
- Adhering to handwashing and boot-dipping procedures.
- Wearing any additional protective equipment required by current site procedures.
