Job Description

As Night Manager of Cambridge House, you will be the guardian of the House throughout the night, ensuring every guest experiences the same exceptional standards of service, comfort and care long after the day has ended. With calm confidence and impeccable attention to detail, you will oversee the House, leading the team, anticipating guest needs and ensuring operations run seamlessly through to the morning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the welcoming presence throughout the night at Cambridge House, ensuring every arrival, departure and guest interaction is delivered with genuine warmth, thoughtful care and attention to detail.
  • Create a calm and reassuring atmosphere overnight, helping every guest feel relaxed, comfortable and effortlessly at home from dusk until dawn.
  • Anticipate guests' needs with intuition and care, responding thoughtfully to requests and resolving concerns with empathy, discretion and a commitment to creating memorable moments.
  • Embrace the role of Manager on Duty overnight, providing calm leadership, thoughtful decision-making and steady support for both guests and fellow team members.
  • Prepare the House for the day ahead by reviewing arrivals, departures and operational priorities, ensuring every detail is beautifully in place before the morning begins.
  • Oversee the Night Audit with accuracy and care, ensuring financial processes, guest accounts and operational reporting are completed efficiently and in line with company standards.
  • Take pride in maintaining the exceptional presentation, organisation and sense of luxury that make Cambridge House such a special place to stay.
  • Help ensure the comfort, safety and wellbeing of guests, team members and the House by responding calmly to overnight situations, supporting emergency procedures and carrying out routine operational checks.
  • Build genuine connections with returning guests by remembering personal preferences and creating thoughtful touches that make every visit feel familiar and special.
  • Prepare clear, thoughtful, well-structured handovers for the daytime team, sharing important guest information, operational updates and priorities to support a seamless transition between shifts.
  • Look for opportunities to make each night even better than the last, contributing ideas, refining ways of working and helping nurture the exceptional culture and service that define Cambridge House.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Night Manager, Night Supervisor, Duty Manager or similar leadership role within a luxury hospitality environment preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong knowledge of Opera Cloud or similar PMS.
  • Flexible availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
