The Opportunity

We’re looking for a confident and dependable Night Manager to take ownership of the hotel during the overnight hours and ensure guests feel safe, supported, and well cared for.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, works calmly under pressure, and understands that reassurance, consistency, and clear decision-making are essential to a positive guest experience at night.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the night team, ensuring high standards of professionalism and service
  • Oversee all overnight hotel operations, including Front Desk, security checks, housekeeping and maintenance coordination
  • Handle guest enquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly, calmly, and with care
  • Act as first point of response for overnight incidents or emergencies, following procedures and contacting emergency services where required
  • Complete night audit duties and prepare accurate reports for senior management
  • Ensure all safety, security, cash-handling, and compliance procedures are followed
  • Monitor overnight costs and ensure all expenditure is accurately recorded
  • Liaise with daytime teams to ensure effective handovers and follow-up
  • Coach and guide night staff to maintain confidence, consistency, and service standards
  • Maintain clear records of overnight activity, incidents, and actions taken

Who This Role Is For

This role is well suited to someone who:

  • Remains calm, practical, and reassuring in quiet or high-pressure situations
  • Enjoys working independently while leading a small overnight team
  • Takes pride in creating a safe, orderly, and well-managed environment
  • Is trusted to make sound decisions without constant supervision
  • Understands that guests often need extra reassurance overnight
  • Has previous experience as a Night Manager, Night Supervisor, or similar hotel role

The Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport is conveniently located within the Glasgow International Airport complex, providing easy access to the city centre with a 24-hour bus service just 10 minutes away. Situated right by the M8 motorway, our hotel features 300 modern and comfortable bedrooms, along with a Meetings & Events facility catering to our corporate clients.
