About the Role
Are you looking for a fun and varied job in hospitality management? We’re looking for a confident and adaptable Night Duty Manager to oversee operations across five vibrant London locations: YHA London Central, YHA London Thameside, YHA London Earl’s Court, YHA London St Paul’s, and YHA London Lee Valley.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives on variety. Instead of being based in a single property, you’ll experience the energy and character of multiple sites across the capital—from the buzz of central London to the calmer surroundings of Lee Valley. Every shift brings a new environment, new guests, and a fresh perspective. This isn’t your typical night manager position. You’ll enjoy the rare chance to work across a diverse portfolio of locations, gaining broad experience while exploring different sides of London. It’s ideal for someone who values independence, variety, and the unique atmosphere that each hostel brings.
As a Night Manager you’ll support the Hostel Manager with the day-to-day management of the hostel. You’ll create a great place for our teams to work and ensure our guests have a great experience in our hostels.

- 10 nights free hostel stays per year for you and up to 3 friends or family

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
