About the Role
This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's most successful and fast-paced retail operations at a pivotal moment in its growth journey. Following a major transformation programme across Manchester Airport's terminals, the business has created one of the largest and most dynamic retail environments in UK travel retail. Terminal 2 has evolved into a true "superstore" operation, serving millions of passengers each year and generating turnover expected to reach £50m-£55m. With continued investment, strong performance and a culture focused on development, this is an exciting time to join a business where people, service and operational excellence are at the heart of everything it does.
Responsibilities
As a Night Manager, you'll play a key role in leading a large team within a unique retail environment that combines the pace of high-volume retail with exceptional customer service standards. Unlike many traditional replenishment leadership roles, this position offers a genuine 50/50 split between operational excellence and customer service leadership. You'll lead the overnight recovery and preparation of the store, managing standards, ticketing, promotional changes, compliance and health & safety, before shifting focus to leading the customer experience as the store reopens in the early hours. You'll work closely with colleagues across multiple functions to ensure the operation is ready to deliver a world-class shopping experience every day. The role also includes coaching, motivating and developing large teams, driving engagement and supporting overall business performance.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
