Nights Manager
Ardencote Manor - Hiddenwell | Luxury Wellness Retreat
Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Reports to: Front Office Manager
We’re looking for a confident and guest-focused Nights Manager to lead our Front Office operation overnight.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you’ll lead our Assistant Nights Manager, Night Receptionists and Night Porters, ensuring every guest receives a warm, professional and memorable experience whatever the hour.
You’ll be the senior point of contact overnight, taking ownership of the hotel operation, supporting your team and making sure everything is ready for a seamless handover to the day team.
The Role
- Overseeing the Front Office team, coordinating the shift and taking on Duty Management responsibilities, ensuring the hotel runs safely and smoothly throughout the night
- Creating brilliant guest experiences, from welcoming late arrivals to handling requests and resolving complaints, you’ll anticipate guests’ needs and make sure they feel genuinely looked after
- Developing your team, coaching, training and motivating the Nights team, helping them build their confidence, deliver consistently high standards and maximise opportunities to enhance the guest experience
- Managing room status, guest information, arrivals, handovers and key overnight processes, working closely with Reservations, Accounts and other hotel departments
- Understanding our rates, packages and promotions, encouraging in-house selling and helping to maximise room revenue while ensuring payments, postings and guest accounts are accurate
- Keeping our guests and hotel safe, taking responsibility for overnight security and safety procedures, including fire safety walks, and ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed by the team

About You
We’re looking for a natural people leader who is calm, organised and confident making decisions independently. You’ll care about the details while never losing sight of what matters most, our guests and your team.
- Must have previous Front Office or hotel operational experience
- Must have experience leading, supervising or developing a team
- Must have a genuine passion for excellent customer service
- Must have confidence handling guest concerns and resolving problems
- Must have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Must have good commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Must have confidence using hotel systems and managing financial transactions
- Must have the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during the night

Additional Information
- Full-time - 40 hours per week
- 4 days on, 4 days off
- This is a Nights position. Full flexibility is required as the role will include weekends and Bank Holidays
- Salary £30,000 per annum
