AN EVENING IN THE LIFE OF NIGHT MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL
What you'll be doing...
The principal responsibility is the safety and security of guests, colleagues and the hotel, whilst ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the night audit function during the overnight hours
- You will manage the night team, ensuring each member is effective, supported, trained and developed
- Being the main point of contact for all in-house and external guest queries and requests during the night
- Liaising with all departments and ensuring swift and efficient communication across the hotel
- Taking responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel overnight, ensuring guests receive a consistently high level of service
- Maintain clear communication with the day team by preparing detailed handover notes and ensuring all relevant information is recorded
- Handle any emergency situations overnight, acting as the point of contact and coordinating with the appropriate departments and emergency services where required

What We Need From You
- Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality or supervisory/management role, preferably within a night operation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when completing night audit, financial reconciliation and end-of-day procedures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally and confidently
- Good IT skills and familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and hotel operating systems
- A calm, responsible and professional approach, with the ability to make sound decisions independently during the night
- Flexibility to work night shifts and the ability to remain focused, organised and productive throughout the overnight operation
