Night Operations Assistant

About us

Part of Iconic Hotels and Resorts, The Lensbury is located on the Banks of the River Thames at Teddington and is home to an exclusive leisure club, a 156 bedroom hotel, meeting and events space, restaurant and bar, Spa and 25 acres of gardens and grounds.

The Role

Working independently during night shifts with support of Night Duty Manager, this is a hands-on role involving cleaning, room resets, furniture movement, stock replenishment and general housekeeping duties. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards and ensuring all event spaces are ready for guests each morning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, clean and reset meeting rooms and event spaces in line with booking requirements and room plans.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout meeting rooms, event spaces, refreshment areas and back-of-house locations.
  • Arrange and move furniture and equipment to support meetings, conferences and events.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are stocked with required stationery, flipcharts, whiteboard pens and presentation materials.
  • Prepare, replenish and clean refreshment stations, coffee points and beverage service areas.
  • Support room turnover and event preparation to ensure spaces are ready for use.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain cleanliness and hygiene within kitchen and service areas.
  • Manage waste disposal, recycling and replenishment of consumables and operational supplies.
  • Keep storerooms organised, secure and stocked, ensuring equipment, furniture and supplies are stored safely.
  • Report maintenance issues, damage, defects and health and safety concerns, ensuring corrective action is taken where appropriate.

  • Hardworking with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Proud of maintaining high cleaning and presentation standards.
  • Well organised and able to follow checklists accurately.
  • Comfortable carrying out physical work, including moving furniture and equipment.
  • Able to manage your time effectively and complete tasks within deadlines.
  • Observant and able to identify maintenance or cleanliness issues.
  • Flexible and willing to support the wider operation when required.
