About the Role
We are looking for a Night Porter to help ensure our village remains safe, secure, and welcoming throughout the night. We are driven by a clear purpose: to build real communities that enhance the lives of our residents every single day.
As a Night Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth running of the village outside of daytime hours. Acting as the main point of contact overnight, you will provide reassurance and support to residents, respond promptly to requests and emergencies, and help create a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for everyone on site.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines excellent customer service with practical responsibilities. You will:
- Carry out regular security and safety checks
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks where appropriate
- Ensure communal areas remain clean, tidy, and well presented
- Support the preparation of the village for the day ahead
- Use your initiative to resolve issues, escalate concerns when necessary
- Ensure all overnight operations run efficiently and in line with company standards
If you are reliable, approachable, and take pride in delivering exceptional service, this is a rewarding opportunity to become part of a community-focused organisation where your contribution has a genuine impact on the wellbeing, safety, and peace of mind of our residents every night.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
