Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by the Unlimited Collection

Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by the Unlimited Collection is seeking a charming and engaging Night Porter with a passion for service excellence.

You will report to the Assistant Front Office Manager, supporting/working towards providing our guests with memorable experiences of the city.

A Night Porter Will Be Responsible For

  • Welcoming and assisting guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Handling guest inquiries and providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Ensuring the security of the hotel and its guest by conducting regular patrols and monitoring security systems.
  • Assisting with room service and delivering items to guest rooms as needed.
  • Performing light cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the hotel in top condition.
  • Preparing and setting up the breakfast area for the morning shift.
  • Handling any emergencies or issues that arise during the night shift.

To be successful in the role of Night Porter, we require:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
