We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Night Porter at Stanbrook Abbey Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels.
Set within the majestic surroundings of a former Benedictine monastery, Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is a one-of-a-kind luxury retreat where history, elegance, and outstanding customer service come together. With 70 individually designed bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, inspiring event spaces, and beautifully landscaped grounds, we offer guests an unforgettable experience steeped in charm and tranquillity.

What will the role involve?
Step into a role where every night brings something new. As one of our Night Porters, you’ll be at the heart of creating memorable guest experiences, whether you’re crafting the perfect late-night drink at the bar, delivering room service with a smile, manning the reception desk, or setting the scene for the next day’s events. No two shifts are the same, and your energy and attention to detail will make all the difference.
You’ll also take ownership of the overnight operation, confidently running the night audit and ensuring everything is balanced and ready for the day ahead. Alongside this, you’ll play a key part in keeping our hotel running smoothly, maintaining a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for both guests and colleagues.

This is a part-time role working 4 nights out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 32 hours per week, which may vary depending on business. Shift timings are 22:30pm - 07:00am with the flexibility to work between 20:30pm - 09:00am
Flexible working hours can be accommodated where possible.

Are you Hand Picked?
We are looking for proactive and enthusiastic candidates that have a willing attitude and a welcoming and friendly nature. We thrive on excelling together to ensure as a team we deliver service, excellence and consistency, fostering a culture of collaboration, partnership & teamwork. You will have passion and pride in delivering exceptional, high-quality, personalised service to ensure our guests experiences are memorable. Previous knowledge and experience of working in a luxury four or five star hotel front office, ideally currently working on night shifts. You will bring strong computer skills, confidently navigating hotel reservation systems and Microsoft Office. Experience with Opera is highly desirable.
