About Avalon Park Care Home
Avalon Park Care Home in Oldham provides residential and residential dementia care for older people. With 58 bedrooms, the home offers a welcoming environment focused on person-centred care, wellbeing, and independence. As part of the team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive environment, helping residents enjoy meaningful daily lives while developing your skills and experience.
Night Senior Care Assistant Contract
- £14.35 - £14.95 per hour
- Contracted to 33 or 44 hours per week
- Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
Role Overview
As Night Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
- You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent, and delivered to a high standard.
- Alongside providing hands-on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing, and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
- You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
- Medication administration training with competency is essential
- Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach
