Night Shift Engineer
Food Manufacturing
Central Scotland
£46,500 + Benefits
Permanent Nights | 4 on, 4 off
We're looking for a Night Shift Engineer to join our engineering team at a busy food manufacturing site in Central Scotland.
Working on a permanent 4 on, 4 off night shift pattern, you'll play a key role in maintaining production efficiency through planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and rapid response to equipment breakdowns. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where reliability, safety and continuous improvement are critical.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimising downtime.
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
- Supporting production teams to maximise equipment performance.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and food safety standards.

What we're looking for:
- Time-served engineer or recognised engineering qualification.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, Food production environments, or armed forces.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Multi-skilled engineering experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently on a permanent night shift pattern.
