Sector: Warehouse and Logistics

Location: Wolverhampton area

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Shift: Monday to Friday, nights

Salary: Competitive

ISQ Recruitment is recruiting a Night Shift Team Leader for one of our clients in the Wolverhampton area.

You will take responsibility for leading the night shift, allocating work and ensuring the required safety, quality and performance standards are maintained.

This role would suit someone with previous team leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment. Experience of JIT, sequencing or packing operations would be useful but is not essential.

The Role Will Involve

  • Leading, supporting and coaching employees throughout the shift
  • Allocating work and monitoring performance
  • Delivering start-of-shift and end-of-shift briefings
  • Managing staff training, upskilling and training records
  • Maintaining safe working practices
  • Ensuring standard working methods and quality processes are followed
  • Monitoring throughput against customer requirements
  • Supporting Lean working practices and maintaining 5S standards
  • Investigating operational issues and supporting corrective actions
  • Reporting on performance, improvements and staffing requirements
  • Supporting operational changes and trials

We would like to hear from candidates with:

  • Previous experience leading or supervising employees within a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Experience allocating work, coaching employees and monitoring performance
  • An understanding of Lean working practices and 5S
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and deal with issues as they arise
  • Good IT skills, ideally including Excel, WMS or SAP
