Job Title: Night Shift Stock Team Operative

We are currently recruiting for reliable, hardworking, and motivated Night Shift Stock Team Operatives to join a busy fruit production and packing operation based in Chartham, Canterbury.

This is a hands-on role supporting the smooth running of night shift operations by ensuring stock is moved, handled, and supplied to the correct areas in line with production requirements.

The successful candidates will be organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, helping to maintain accurate stock movements and ensure production runs efficiently throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

  • Move and distribute stock to the correct production and packing areas.
  • Ensure materials, packaging, and products are available to meet production requirements.
  • Receive, check, and organize stock as required.
  • Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Ensure stock is stored correctly and designated areas remain organized.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and work closely with production and warehouse teams.
  • Maintain accurate stock movement records where required.
  • Follow all health and safety, hygiene, and food safety procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Report damaged stock, missing items, or other operational issues promptly.
  • Support the wider team to ensure night shift targets and deadlines are achieved.

What We're Looking For

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends as required.
  • A strong awareness of health and safety and workplace hygiene.

Previous experience in a warehouse, stock control, food production, or packing environment would be advantageous, although candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

What's on Offer?

  • Hourly pay of £13.43–£15.16, depending on experience and competency.
  • Additional night shift bonus of £1.72 per hour.
  • A shift pattern of 5 days working followed by 2 days off.
  • Working Hours: Starting at 7:00 PM, finishing between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM
  • Consistent night shift hours.
  • Training and development opportunities.
  • The opportunity to gain experience in stock control and production operations.
  • A varied, hands-on role within a busy and supportive team.
