Make a difference every day at Eagle House

Eagle House is a specialist residential service supporting adults aged 18–65 and 65+ with a range of mental health and complex support needs. The people we support may have mental health conditions, learning disabilities or difficulties, physical disabilities and health needs, autism, trauma-related needs, Emotional Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), age-related conditions or dementia. We also support individuals who may have a forensic history.

This means our Support Worker role is varied, meaningful and about much more than completing care tasks. Our approach is person-centred and trauma informed. We work with everyone to understand their experiences, strengths, wishes, and goals, helping them to feel safe, develop and maintain skills, build confidence and have as much choice and independence as possible.

We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and dependable people to join our team and help us make a genuine difference.

What will I do as a Support Worker?

You will build positive and professional relationships with the people you support, taking time to understand what matters to everyone.

Depending on the person's needs, your role may include:

  • Providing person-centred emotional, practical and personal care and support.
  • Supporting people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing using a consistent, trauma-informed approach.
  • Promoting independence, choice, dignity and appropriate positive risk-taking.
  • Helping people maintain and develop everyday living and independence skills.
  • Supporting individuals with personal care and physical needs where required.
  • Supporting residents to access their local community, activities, appointments and opportunities that are meaningful to them.
  • Recognising and reporting changes in an individual's physical health, mental health, wellbeing or support needs.
  • Following individual care and support plans and contributing to their review.
  • Acting as a Key Worker and helping an individual work towards their personal goals.
  • Maintaining clear and accurate care records using our digital care system.
  • Supporting with medication in accordance with your training and our procedures.
  • Working with families, healthcare professionals, social workers and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Safeguarding the people we support and promoting their welfare at all times.
  • Taking part in handovers, team meetings, supervision and ongoing training.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

These responsibilities closely reflect the formal job description, which places the individual at the heart of care delivery, promotes community relationships and requires staff to follow individual care plans and report changing needs. The role also involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and, where the person wishes, maintaining relationships with family and others important to them.

Must live in the UK to apply. Sponsorship will not be offered.

You do not need to arrive knowing everything. Experience in mental health, learning disabilities, complex care, physical disabilities, dementia, or a similar environment is desirable, but we also recognise that the right values and attitude matter enormously.

We are looking for people who are:

  • Caring and compassionate – you treat people with kindness, dignity, and respect.
  • Calm and resilient – you can respond appropriately when situations become challenging or someone's needs change.
  • Reliable and consistent – the people we support need a team they can trust.
  • Good communicators – you are comfortable communicating with residents, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Committed to independence – you support people to do things with them rather than automatically doing things for them.
  • Willing to learn – we will invest in your development, but you will need to be open to learning and building your knowledge.

These qualities fit particularly well with your formal job description, which emphasises dignity, individual choice, independence, appropriate risk-taking, empathy and improving outcomes. We invest in your training and development.

You do not pay for the training you need to do your job. All required training is fully paid for by Hatzfeld Care – and you are paid for the time you spend completing it.

Your development does not stop after induction. We provide ongoing training, supervision, and opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills.

The formal role specifically includes keeping and developing professional knowledge and committing to relevant qualifications and statutory training.

A career where you can see the difference you make

Some days will be challenging. Others will bring achievements that might seem small to someone else but mean a great deal to the person you've supported.

It could be helping someone regain a skill, supporting them through a difficult period, encouraging them to try something independently, helping them access their community or simply being a familiar and trusted person when they need one.

Our aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment that promotes inclusion and independence, while delivering excellent care. That's also at the heart of Hatzfeld Care's wider goals.

If you are looking for a role where compassion, consistency, resilience, and good judgement genuinely matter, we would love to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of the Eagle House team.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
