Role Description
The Night Time Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for overseeing night shift operations in the smokehouse. This role includes:
- Supervising production activities
- Monitoring product quality
- Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are followed

The Night Time Supervisor coordinates staff schedules, assigns tasks, and supports team members to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. Additional responsibilities include:

- Tracking inventory levels
- Reporting any equipment or maintenance issues
- Communicating key updates to daytime management
The role requires a hands-on approach, consistent presence on the production floor, and readiness to respond to operational needs throughout the night shift.
Qualifications
- Experience supervising teams in a food production, manufacturing, or hospitality environment, preferably within seafood or similar perishable goods.
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP principles, and hygiene regulations, with a strong focus on quality control and safe handling practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to coordinate workflows, manage schedules, and meet production deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to give clear instructions, support team members, and resolve issues calmly.
- Ability to work reliably during night shifts, maintain attention to detail, and remain alert in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
- Comfort with basic record-keeping and reporting, including shift logs, inventory updates, and incident documentation.
- Previous experience in smokehouse operations or seafood processing is an advantage but not essential; training can be provided.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to comply with all company policies, health and safety procedures, and operational standards.
