Location: Stansted

We're now looking for a Warehouse Manager to play an integral role at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every flight is a success.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Follow health and safety procedures and take action to reduce risks.
- Report and investigate incidents, escalating issues where needed and ensuring actions are completed.
- Ensure that all site facilities, equipment, vehicles, and MHE are in working order following the correct procedures in place and any defects reported in the correct timely manner.
- Ensure that all drivers are following the correct procedures in place relating to transport and any defects reported in the correct timely manner.
- Support the Operations Manager & H&S Manager to review the Safe System of Works (SSoWs) for the site, including understanding and detailing best practices and deviations that may occur during the process' execution.
- Manage day-to-day performance of shift, have a clear understanding of objectives/KPIs applicable to your role/shift/site, including the achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs (e.g., safety, operational, employee-related, etc.). To ensure that they, as a minimum, meet our contractual obligations.
- Support management with resource planning and management, e.g., rota creation, gaps in rota, holiday cover, implement agreed processes to review performance, monitor absence and sickness, and address issues within clear guidelines.
- Identify and escalate training and qualification gaps and conduct induction and technical training for the team.
- Ensure colleagues are registering the indirect hours properly, by checking pending approvals in Smart Time and/or Datascope.
- Track dispersion of own team and understand the deviations with colleagues during informal performance reviews, taken to the next stage of performance management where required.
- Track attendance of your employees at individual level and indicate deviations - update the resource planning tool (if needed) and manage accordingly.
- Track overtime of your employees at individual level and understand deviations and manage accordingly.
- Clearly understands operational results, implements corrective action where required, and communicates operational results at shift level & to senior management.
- Assign colleagues to continuous trainings to ensure people development and continuous improvement culture as part of site routine in order to reduce deviation.
- Prepare and execute the shift handover with your colleague of the next shift.
- Conduct weekly performance reviews with 100% of your employees, based on productivity, variance, dispersion, direct and indirect hours, set up time, attendance, quality/inventory, and SHE [individual].
- Communicate the recognition and engagement activities to the shop floor team and encourage them to take part in the initiatives for engaging people with the organization.
- Support and coordinate the team to drive an engagement culture at the site, including contributing to EOS opportunities and activities.
