About the Role
At The Caledonian Edinburgh, exceptional luxury service continues throughout the night. We are seeking a Nights Duty Manager to lead overnight operations, ensuring guest safety, service excellence and seamless hotel performance after hours.
The Person
- A confident and composed leader with a passion for luxury hospitality
- Guest-focused, professional and calm under pressure
- Strong decision-maker with sound judgement overnight
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Flexible and comfortable working night shifts.
The Role
- Lead the Front Office Night Team in delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Act as the senior management representative overnight
- Maintain luxury service standards, safety and security at all times
- Oversee night audit, reporting and operational continuity
- Ensure smooth handovers to the daytime management team

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise overnight Front Office operations and team rotas
- Serve as point of contact for guests, VIPs and emergencies
- Complete night audit procedures and financial controls
- Monitor hotel security, conduct night walks and safety checks
- Manage incidents, guest concerns and overnight reporting
