We're Hiring! Operations Coordinator (Nights) at GBA Logistics
Location: Warrington
Full-time, working a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 18:00- 06:00
Salary: £28,000 - £30,633 per annum

The Role
We are seeking a professional and proactive Night Transport Operations Co-ordinator to support the delivery of GBA's transport services onsite at our Birchwood office. This role combines operational coordination with direct customer interaction. The Co-Ordinator will be responsible for driver allocation and planning, real-time monitoring, compliance checks, and system accuracy, while also engaging directly with the customer to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure service levels are consistently met. This skilled role requires operational expertise and excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities For Operations Coordinator
- Deliver and manage the overnight transport plan.
- Allocate drivers, vehicles, and workloads effectively.
- Monitor live operations and resolve issues as they arise.
- Act as the overnight customer contact and provide service updates.
- Ensure compliance with driver hours, Working Time Regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct driver briefings, debriefings, audits, and initial incident investigations.
- Maintain accurate transport management system data and vehicle tracking records.
- Support drivers with operational issues such as diversions, site access problems, and breakdowns.
- Provide effective shift handovers.

About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience in transport planning, logistics operations, or a similar fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong understanding of transport compliance, driver hours legislation, and Working Time Regulations.
- Confident decision-maker with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships professionally.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in using transport management and vehicle tracking systems.
- Able to work independently on night shifts, taking ownership of operational performance.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to anticipate issues and prevent service disruption.
