Fixed Term Contract - 7 Months

Working Hours

10-hour night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rota, operating across a 7-day service

Keep operations moving. Solve problems in real time. Make a difference when it matters most.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two nights are the same. You're organised, calm under pressure, and take pride in being the person others rely on when they need support. Whether it's coordinating urgent requests, helping operational teams or ensuring important information reaches the right people, you enjoy keeping things running smoothly and finding solutions when challenges arise.

At Ground Control, our Winter Maintenance operation runs around the clock to support clients when they need us most. We're looking for a Nightshift Administrator to join us on a fixed-term basis, providing maternity cover for approximately three months. Working 10-hour night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rota, you'll play an important role in supporting operational delivery, managing key communications and ensuring critical information is processed accurately and efficiently. You'll have the trust to take ownership, make decisions and help maintain the high standards our clients expect.

What you'll do:

  • Provide vital overnight support to operational teams, customers and stakeholders, helping to keep our Winter Maintenance services running safely and efficiently.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, providing timely support and ensuring stakeholders receive accurate information when they need it.
  • Support operational teams in real time throughout the night, helping services run smoothly and ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Manage reactive requests and additional works, ensuring they are raised correctly, tracked accurately and progressed through to completion.
  • Monitor operational activity and key performance information, identifying trends and supporting continuous improvement across the service.
  • Take shared ownership of team inboxes and systems, ensuring queries are prioritised, allocated appropriately and responded to within required timescales.
  • Identify issues requiring escalation and take prompt action to ensure operational, customer or service concerns are addressed effectively.
  • Raise and manage Health & Safety reports where required, supporting compliance and promoting safe working practices across operations.
  • Support projects, audits and wider business initiatives, helping maintain accurate data and contributing to service improvements across the department.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
