About the Role

Nightstop Volunteer Coordinator

6-month Fixed-Term Contract

Ready to make a real difference? Join our Nightstop team and help provide safe emergency accommodation for young people facing homelessness. We're looking for an enthusiastic and people-focused Nightstop Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train and support volunteer hosts across London, Manchester and the North East.

As Nightstop Volunteer Coordinator, you'll build relationships with communities, promote volunteering opportunities, deliver engaging training, and ensure volunteers feel supported and valued. Using your strong communication, organisation and safeguarding knowledge, you'll help grow a network of dedicated hosts who provide vital support to vulnerable young people.

If you're experienced in volunteer recruitment, confident engaging a wide range of stakeholders, and passionate about creating positive change, we'd love to hear from you.

Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hours per week), 6 months fixed-term contract. We welcome applications from different part of the country.

In this role, you will:

Volunteer Recruitment, Promotion and Engagement

  • Promote volunteer opportunities through community networks, local organisations, and online platforms
  • Increase the number of active volunteers in each of our regions, generating new enquiries which lead to new volunteer applications
  • Recruit and onboard volunteer hosts in line with safer recruitment practices, including interviews, references, DBS checks, and home assessments
  • Assess applicants’ suitability and contribute to decision-making processes
  • Deliver training, supervision, and ongoing support to volunteers
  • Build strong relationships with hosts to support retention, motivation, and engagement
  • Act as a key point of contact for volunteers, providing guidance and problem-solving support
  • Maintain regular communication with volunteers, including updates, development opportunities, and networking events
  • Work with the National Nightstop Volunteer Coordinator to share learning and support in the development of best practice resources and approaches that can be shared with our network partners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
