Flexibility is essential to support team priorities, development programmes, and event preparation activities within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the No.1 Race Team Mechanic with responsibility for the management, maintenance, development, and operational readiness of pit equipment and associated systems
  • Co-ordinate build of race cars both in the factory and at races when required
  • Maintain asset registers, service schedules, equipment readiness plans, and inventory controls to ensure full accountability and traceability

  • Support the planning and delivery of factory pit stop practice sessions, ensuring all equipment is prepared, serviceable, and fit for purpose
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design Office, and GM Power Unit stakeholders to deliver equipment development projects that enhance operational performance, reliability, and efficiency, including attending DMU sessions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives relating to car build, pit stop performance, equipment reliability, and operational effectiveness
  • Attend selected Formula 1® events to provide trackside support, including car build, preparation, servicing, pit stop operations, and personnel cover where required
  • Work closely with Parts, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure event freight is accurately prepared, packed, tracked, and delivered, with the correct components, equipment, and spares allocated to each event
  • Support the development and mentoring of mechanics seeking further race team exposure and trackside experience
  • Build strong relationships across Mechanical, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, and Race Team functions to ensure effective collaboration and delivery
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while providing regular updates to stakeholders on equipment readiness, project progress, and operational risks
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, technical standards, regulatory requirements, and Health & Safety policies
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, equipment control, workshop organisation, and safe working practices, driving continuous improvement in both safety and quality performance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
