Era4 develops, owns, and operates AI infrastructure across the UK, powered by renewable energy. Converting legacy industrial and energy sites into modern data-centre facilities, Era4 is combining brownfield regeneration opportunities with cleaner, efficient, scalable compute capacity for healthcare, research, finance, enterprise, and public-sector organisations.
Must hold a full UK driving licence and be located close to Bristol or surrounding area due to onsite requirements.
Have the ability to achieve Security Clearance. (Won't be an immediate request but within the next 12 months).
Role Summary
We are looking for various 24x7 NOC Engineers to join our Operations Centre. You’ll be the first point of technical response for infrastructure alerts, incidents, and service requests, helping to keep customer-facing services stable and well-supported.
You will monitor infrastructure alerts, respond within SLA, perform initial troubleshooting and incident triage, own tickets through to resolution, and escalate clearly to engineering, field operations, Smart Hands providers, or vendors when required.
This role is suited to someone with experience in a NOC, data-centre operations, infrastructure support, managed services, field engineering, or technical operations environment who is comfortable working independently on a 24x7 shift pattern.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
