NOC Engineer - AI Infrastructure | Bristol / Remote
A very exciting opportunity to join a UK based UK AI Hyperscaler who are building and operating AI infrastructure and data centres across the country as part of the UK's growing sovereign AI capability.
The NOC Engineer will join the Operations Centre on a 24x7 basis and will act as the first point of technical response for infrastructure alerts, incidents and service requests, keeping customer-facing AI services stable and well supported.
Role Responsibilities
- Monitoring network, power, environmental, server and GPU alarms, responding within SLA
- Performing initial troubleshooting and incident triage
- Owning tickets through to resolution with accurate documentation
- Escalating clearly to engineering, field operations or vendors when required
- Coordinating site access, dispatch requests and maintenance windows with field engineering/Smart Hands providers
- Managing shift handovers and keeping knowledge articles current

Required Experience
- Experience in a NOC, data-centre operations, infrastructure support, managed services or technical operations environment
- Comfortable working independently on a 24x7 shift pattern
- Linux systems administration knowledge is essential
- Experience using an ITSM/ticketing tool (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, HaloITSM, FreshService or similar)
- Data-centre or AI/GPU infrastructure exposure is advantageous

The NOC Engineer position is fully remote for the remainder of this year but candidates will need to be based roughly within a 60 mile radius of Bristol or Newport. This will be a shift based role covering a 24/7 operation.
