The Role
This is a critical role that will oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimization of our critical Voice & IP Platform/Network infrastructure.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the platform's stability, performance, and scalability to support our business objectives.
You will be reporting into the Head of Product & Voice Ops.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall health, performance, and availability of our Core Platform/Network infrastructure
- Lead incident response and resolution, minimizing downtime and impact on users
- Continuously monitor and optimize platform performance through performance tuning and capacity adjustments
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce errors
- Manage and develop a team of Duty Managers & Lead Platform Engineers, ensuring high performance
- Develop personal and team growth strategies for the NOC Engineering team
- Oversee integration of operational support functions into the NOC Engineering team
- Collaborate closely with development, engineering, and other teams to align the platform with business goals
- Identify and implement strategies to improve service quality by enhancing maintenance and troubleshooting processes

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing a team responsible for managing & operating large-scale telco/IP networks
- Experience planning, preparing, and implementing configuration changes across various components of Core Network Infrastructure (e.g., SBC’s, Juniper Routers, Telco-grade PBX systems)
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tooling
- Experience developing and implementing training and development plans for teams and individuals
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, changeable environment
- Self-starting, proactive, highly organized, and capable of collaborating well at all organizational levels

Additional Notes
- All candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and pass a basic DBS check
- Role is hybrid (3 days onsite at our Manchester office)
