About The Role
We are seeking a skilled NodeJS Backend Developer to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of backend development tasks, from initial design to deployment, within a fast-paced Agile SaaS environment. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance applications utilizing NodeJS and TypeScript. Your contributions will include developing microservices, writing clean and well-tested code, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our platform. Collaboration is a vital aspect of this role, and you will work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that support the company's growth objectives.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in server-side development using NodeJS and TypeScript in a commercial setting.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and best practices for automated testing and deployment.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or similar services.
- Experience with messaging technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ, gRPC, and OAuth2 is advantageous.
- Proactive mindset with a strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within an agile team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into functional code.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Work with DevOps teams to deploy and monitor applications in cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Contribute to the development of API documentation and technical specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely resolutions to maintain platform stability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into the platform.
