About The Role
We are seeking a skilled NodeJS Backend Developer to join our agile team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend features that are integral to our SaaS platform. You will take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment, ensuring that our applications are scalable, high-performing, and reliable. Working closely with product managers, frontend developers, and other technical stakeholders, you will contribute to microservices architecture and help shape the future of our platform. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive developer eager to make a tangible impact within a fast-moving environment, utilizing modern backend and cloud technologies.
Qualifications
- Proven commercial experience in server-side development using NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Experience working within fast-paced or rapidly growing environments.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API development.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks for unit and integration testing.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar providers.
- Knowledge of messaging technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Understanding of gRPC, OAuth2, and related security/authentication protocols is advantageous.
- Proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and a focus on delivering high-quality software.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend features using NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Contribute to microservices architecture, ensuring modularity and maintainability.
- Write clean, well-tested code with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement and maintain APIs, integrating with various third-party services and internal systems.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Assist in deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and automated releases.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the development team and the broader organization.
