About The Role
We are seeking a skilled NodeJS Backend Developer to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the development and delivery of backend features, from initial design concepts through to deployment and maintenance. Working within a fast-paced Agile SaaS environment, you will contribute to building scalable, high-performance applications using NodeJS and TypeScript. Your work will involve designing microservices, writing clean and well-tested code, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our platform. Collaboration with product managers, frontend developers, and other technical teams will be key to driving continuous growth and innovation. This position offers remote working flexibility and an opportunity to make a tangible impact on a rapidly expanding platform.

- Proven commercial experience in server-side development using NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Working knowledge of messaging technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Understanding of gRPC, OAuth2, and authentication/authorization protocols.
- Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Implement microservices architecture to support modular and flexible platform growth.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality features.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies to promote continuous improvement.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance platform stability.
- Stay updated with the latest backend technologies and industry trends, applying them to improve our platform.
- Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications within cloud environments.
