About The Role
Quant Capital is actively seeking a talented Javascript Developer with expertise in Node.js to join its expanding technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for developers ranging from junior to senior levels who are eager to contribute to the development of a new, state-of-the-art cloud-based platform for a luxury online fashion house based in London. As part of this role, you will be instrumental in building a next-generation ecommerce platform that is fast, reliable, and scalable, utilizing open source technologies and modern development practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a keen interest in the latest trends, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers a permanent contract with a competitive salary up to 55,000 GBP plus a 10% performance bonus, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications
- Solid experience in Javascript development, with a strong emphasis on Node.js.
- Proficiency in deploying and scaling applications in cloud environments.
- Experience with full-stack development, with a focus on backend and middleware components.
- Interest in emerging technologies and an open-minded approach to adopting new tools and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with open source database technologies such as MySQL, and exposure to NoSQL databases like Redis, MongoDB, and CouchDB.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Strong understanding of web services, RESTful APIs, and integration techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using Node.js.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality features.
- Implement and optimize APIs for seamless integration with third-party services and internal systems.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and performance standards.
- Contribute to the development of the new cloud-based ecommerce platform, ensuring it meets scalability and security requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the development process.
- Assist in deploying applications to cloud environments, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Document technical specifications, system architecture, and code to facilitate maintenance and future enhancements.
