Opportunity for an Experienced Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer

The Firm

Our client is a UK Top 20 international law firm with an outstanding reputation for advising major UK and international businesses on complex, high-value matters.

The firm is truly international, operating from over 20 offices across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East and advising clients across more than 100 countries. Its network spans key commercial centers including Paris, Singapore, and the Middle East, providing access to genuinely international and cross-border work.

The firm is particularly renowned for its strength across real estate, energy, infrastructure, and financial services, with a market-leading Non-Contentious Construction practice in London.

The Team

The new hire will join a leading Non-Contentious Construction team advising on high-value domestic and international construction and engineering projects.

The team acts for an impressive client base of developers, contractors, funders, and major businesses across sectors including commercial and residential development, mixed-use schemes, energy, infrastructure, and industrials.

The team is highly collaborative, supportive, and collegiate, while offering senior lawyers significant responsibility and the opportunity to take a leading role in both client matters and the continued growth of the practice.

The Role

The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate ready to step up to Managing Associate, or an existing Managing Associate, to join its London Non-Contentious Construction team.

Working closely with recognized leaders in the market, the new hire will take a senior role across complex construction and engineering matters while developing client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

This will include:

  • Advising on high-value UK and international construction and engineering projects
  • Advising clients on procurement strategies across a variety of developments and projects
  • Drafting and negotiating development agreements and standard form and bespoke construction and engineering contracts
  • Advising on professional appointments, sub-contracts, guarantees, bonds, and other ancillary construction documentation
  • Acting for developers, contractors, funders, and other major businesses across a broad range of sectors
  • Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of matters with partner support
  • Developing existing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives
  • Supervising, mentoring, and supporting more junior members of the team
  • Playing an active role in the continued development and growth of the London practice

Required

  • UK qualified Solicitor with approximately 6 - 9 PQE
  • Strong non-contentious construction experience gained within a leading law firm
  • Experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of construction and engineering documentation
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing matters and client relationships
  • Senior Associate looking to step up to Managing Associate level, or an existing Managing Associate seeking a new platform
