Location: Welwyn Garden City (with flexibility)
Time commitment: Approx. 1 day per month
Remuneration: Voluntary (expenses reimbursed)

Our Purpose is to ‘Feed Growing Minds’ - improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people through nutritious, affordable, and enjoyable meals. We operate at the heart of local communities and reinvest our profits to generate long-term social value. With strong foundations in place, we are now ambitious to grow our services and expand our reach across the region and beyond. We are 18 months into our Five Year Plan that will see us double our meal numbers, embrace technology and empower our people. We’re already 12 months ahead in our commercial plan!
The Role
As a Non-Executive Director, you will provide strategic oversight, independent judgment, and constructive challenge to support the continued success of the business. You will work closely with the Executive team and Board colleagues to shape the strategic direction of the company, ensure effective governance, and champion innovation and inclusion.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with senior-level strategic expertise in any of the following areas:
- HR, people development, or organisational culture
- Employment law and best practice
- People engagement, reward and recognition
- Hospitality and food service operations

This is a voluntary role, with reasonable expenses reimbursed, and requires a time commitment of around one day per month, including attendance at Board and committee meetings, typically held in Welwyn Garden City with a mix of face to face and remote requirements through the year.
