About Phoenix Community Housing
Created by tenants in 2007, Phoenix Community Housing owns and manages more than 7,700 homes in Lewisham and was the first resident-led housing association in London, with a model that empowers tenants and leaseholders to take a central part in decision-making and become shareholder members. Under their rules, the Chair of the Board must be a tenant, and residents are encouraged to get involved with Phoenix at all levels to influence services and define future priorities. Phoenix’s vision is “Together, we are building a better future for our Phoenix community” and, helped by their strong strategic partnership with Lewisham Council, they are proactively supporting local community initiatives to improve the environment and quality of life for everyone who works and lives in south Lewisham.

Opportunity for New Board Members
Phoenix now has an opportunity for two new Board Members to join their Board. They are particularly interested in appointing new members with skills and experience in finance and asset management. They are also inviting applications to join their Resident Experience, Investment and Development and Audit and Risk committees, with a focus on resident applications to support a pipeline of future resident Board Members.
