As a result of the continued success of our Asbestos Removal Services nationally, we're looking for enthusiastic and reliable Non-Licensed Asbestos Removal Operatives to join our established Asbestos Removal Team in Wakefield, overseeing and carrying out non-licensed asbestos removal works.

About the role

Working under the instruction of the Asbestos Removal Manager, you'll oversee and carry out non-licensed asbestos removal works in line with current legislation and industry best practice, preventing and reducing the spread of, and exposure to, asbestos.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where no two days are the same. You'll work as part of a close-knit, experienced team, liaising professionally with clients, contractors and other stakeholders across the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working under the instruction of the Asbestos Removal Manager at all times.
  • Ensuring all works are carried out to the highest standards at all times, preventing and reducing the spread of, and exposure to, asbestos.
  • Complying at all times with company method statements, risk assessments, policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety, welfare and security of all.
  • Ensuring compliance with all current asbestos and health and safety legislative requirements.
  • Professionally liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders at all times.
  • Completing and signing all relevant paperwork to ensure all legislative, licensable and financial requirements are met.
  • Representing Bradley Environmental Consultants to the highest standard on client sites, providing both specialist advice and consultancy services.

You'll ideally have:

  • A minimum of one year's experience as an Asbestos Removal Operative.
  • An excellent understanding of health and safety with respect to asbestos-related works.
  • Competence in completing, understanding and strictly abiding by method statements, risk assessments, company policies and procedures.
  • A full, clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication and client liaison skills, with a keen focus on attention to detail.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including out-of-hours working and weekends when required.

  • Competitive salary of £28,558.40 - £38,251.20 (up to £147 per day), depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
  • £5,000 Joining Bonus for qualified candidates who apply directly and complete 12 months' continuous service.*
  • Generous out-of-hours policy – time and a half during the week, and £31.25 per hour at weekends (minimum of 4 hours paid).

  • Company pension, with employer contributions of 3% of qualifying earnings.
  • 22 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays (8), increasing with service, with a long service award at 3 and 5 years.
