Norfolk Crisis & Resilience Advisors x 2 | 11063 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £33,119 to £34,811 per annum | (Grade G) | Base at County Hall, Norwich
Part of Norfolk County Council, the Norfolk Crisis and Resilience Service provides hardship support for people across the county. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that works with vulnerable people in our society and has a positive impact on our communities. In April 2026 this service will replace the Clients Hardship Service with an enhanced service funded for 3 years through the Crisis Resilience fund.
The current adviser roles fall into two categories
-
Digital Adviser – hybrid working
-
Outreach Adviser – Working from a variety of locations with partner agencies with a requirement to visit clients in their homes.
The Norfolk Crisis and Resilience Advisers provide money management and holistic support for people to become financially independent and address the underlying issues prohibiting this. The roles involve speaking with clients either on the phone or face to face implementing a Trauma Informed approach to provide the best outcome and ongoing support for the individual.
We are looking for people with professional curiosity who can assess information from multiple sources, provide information and guidance and ongoing referrals to both support and grant providers. Confidence in making decisions, motivation to make a difference and advocate for the vulnerable is essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
