Job: North American Broker Technician

Location: London/ Hybrid (3 days in office)

Salary: £45,000

Nashrock is working with a Lloyd’s broker who are looking to appoint a North American Broker Technician to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong individual with experience across Open Market, Lineslips and Binding Authorities, working predominantly with North American business.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the full end to end technical process, working closely with brokers, underwriters, clients, and accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and checking premium bordereaux
  • Producing accounting transactions and debit/credit notes
  • Submitting bordereaux to Xchanging and managing bureau queries
  • Processing and registering binders
  • Producing certificates and processing invoices
  • Liaising with clients, underwriters, and accounts
  • Producing MRC Slips and Endorsements
  • Presenting Slips to underwriters via PPL
  • Managing signing and post-bind documentation
  • Producing invoices and liaising with clients regarding payment
  • Maintaining contract certainty reports
  • Submitting slips and endorsements to Xchanging
  • Working closely with the broking team
  • Managing PPL presentation and signing

  • Strong insurance technical experience
  • Experience working in a similar role with exposure to North American Property risks
  • Knowledge of Binding Authorities as well as Open Market business
  • Use of PPL, DCOM, and Xchanging
  • Good knowledge of MRC Slips
