NHS North West Maternity Team Clinical Fellowship
NHS North West Maternity Team is delighted to announce an exciting Clinical Fellowship in association with the Liverpool Women’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Overview
The Fellowship is a full-time management/training development post under the supervision of Dr Jemma Egan, Clinical Lead for the C&M Preterm Birth Network. It includes a clinical component. Clinical supervision will be the responsibility of the RCOG College Tutor Dr Emily Fairclough/ Dr Ben Choo who will allocate a clinical educational supervisor.

- Duration of the post: full-time 1-year fixed term from start date
Description Of Management Component Of The Post
The key roles and output:
- Support the NHS NW maternity team to continue to develop and implement cervical length training around the region
- Measure and report on progress of CL scan training uptake and quality
- Scope for publications and presentations
- Scope to complete the Leadership and Management SIPM if applicable
Description Of Clinical Components Of The Post
It is anticipated that the clinical component on the Rota will be 1 day per week to be discussed.

The candidate would be expected to participate in all PTB prevention clinic sessions (currently 1.5/week) at Liverpool Women’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and will have access to training in insertion of cervical cerclage.
The successful candidate will join the on-call rota: ST3 – 7 (depending on experience), it is currently a full shift on call model estimated at a 1 in 12 rota.
