Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team in Northampton. This role involves working on a wide range of heavy plant machinery, including diggers, dumpers, loading shovels, excavators, and more. If you are passionate about plant maintenance and enjoy a dynamic, hands-on role, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of heavy plant machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Ensure all machinery is maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete necessary documentation.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on-site.
- Travel to various locations in and around Northampton to carry out mobile repairs and servicing.

Qualifications
- A valid CSCS card or NVQ in Plant Maintenance is essential.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
- Full UK driving license.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Day-to-Day
- Start your day by reviewing scheduled maintenance and repair tasks.
- Travel to client sites in a fully equipped company van to carry out servicing and repairs.
- Diagnose and resolve machinery issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Communicate with clients to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the company van.
- Complete and submit service reports and documentation promptly.
