MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading consumer goods brand, on the search for a Northern Area Sales Manager. This is a remote role based in the north.

Role Overview:

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing key retail and independent accounts within your territory, building strong relationships with store teams, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving commercial growth. This role requires a proactive, organised, and adaptable individual who can effectively manage multiple accounts while identifying opportunities to maximise sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with retail, independent, and key account customers, building strong partnerships with store teams, decision makers, and wider stakeholders to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Plan and conduct regular customer visits, ensuring merchandising standards, stock accuracy, product availability, and in-store visibility are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Drive sales growth by achieving territory targets, identifying new business opportunities, introducing new products and promotions, and maximising distribution across the customer base.
  • Deliver product training, provide exceptional customer support, and collaborate with customers on initiatives that increase brand awareness, sales performance, and customer engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to secure additional display space, improve store execution, and optimise the presentation of the consumer goods brand across all retail environments.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, journey planning, and account updates, providing market, competitor, and customer insights to support commercial decision making.
  • Manage customer projects and coordinate effectively with internal teams on product launches, stock availability, promotional activity, and account administration.
  • Attend trade shows, customer events, and undertake additional duties as required to support the continued growth of the business.

  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years' B2B sales or account management experience.
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering an exceptional experience and representing a premium consumer goods brand.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both externally and internally.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own territory.
  • Analytical and organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the territory, including regular overnight stays.
