Substitute Positions

The School District of Monroe is always looking for individuals to substitute in our schools for both our teaching staff and in support roles.

Wisconsin Content Licensed Teacher:

  • Pay: $200 a day
  • This new pay structure begins November 1, 2024.

Associate's Degree or Higher:

  • Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Successfully completed an approved substitute training program
  • No need for a degree in Education
  • Pay: $140 a day
  • Rate increases to $257.48 a day if you spend 10 or more consecutive school days in the same assignment.
  • Brief online training required
  • Reimbursement for class fee of $39.95 and sub-license fee of $125.00 after 10 subs

Support Roles (Aides, Secretaries, Custodians, Food Service):

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Pay: $19.50 an hour
