Arian Wellbeing

Empowering Minds, Strengthening Communities

Arian Wellbeing is a world-first digital mental health service, combining clinical expertise, lived experience, and cultural knowledge to provide highly personalised care.

Our Mission

Our mission is to tackle the mental health crisis in the UK by helping both diverse communities and the teams working to serve them. Mental health issues have risen dramatically in the UK, impacting not only on individuals and families, but also on the staff of the organisations who work with them.

We partner with organisations and communities, including those who are often underserved, to deliver tailored and co-produced mental health support. By integrating psychological and physical wellbeing, we address challenges such as anxiety, depression, burnout, and trauma.

Who We Are

I'm Dr. Waheed Arian, NHS emergency doctor and a former child refugee. I founded Arian Wellbeing so that people facing mental wellbeing issues and the professionals supporting them could access not just clinical expertise, but the cultural insight to enable it to be delivered in a way which makes a real impact.

My lived experience with trauma and PTSD, combined with clinical expertise, inspired me to create a model of care that is both culturally competent and trauma-informed, supporting those who are too often overlooked by traditional systems. As an A&E doctor, I have seen firsthand the impact of the mental health crisis on individuals and also on the workforce of the public sector, private sector, and nonprofit organisations working to help them.

I founded Arian Wellbeing to help change this, by working with a range of experts to provide evidence-based, high-impact support. I’m proud that we are now a trusted partner to NHS trusts, local councils, and charities delivering care to vulnerable communities across the UK while also supporting professionals who are working with them.

Our Approach

  • Clinically Led: All services are overseen by licensed clinical psychologists.
  • Culturally Tailored: Services are adapted to meet the language, cultural, and spiritual needs of the populations you serve.
  • Trauma-Informed: Our approach recognises the long-term effects of trauma, including war, displacement, and structural inequity.
  • Integrated: Physical wellbeing plans—including exercise and nutrition—are available to support full-spectrum recovery.

How We Work

For Your Communities

Our evidence-based approach delivers timely and culturally competent support through a four-stage framework, whether you want us to support your communities, or your staff, or both:

  • Referral Pathway Established: We collaborate with your organisation to define eligibility criteria and referral routes. Services are available for staff, children and families, and local communities—customised to their individual needs.
  • Initial Assessment: Clients complete a needs questionnaire and are triaged to the most appropriate support. From day one, we prioritise trust, cultural understanding, and alignment with lived experience.
  • Personalised Care Plan: Each person receives a trauma-informed, culturally attuned assessment. This leads to a tailored care plan with holistic recommendations that address mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
  • Ongoing Intervention: We offer a range of one-to-one and group-based services delivered by professionals with both clinical expertise and lived experience:
    • Individual Therapy: Trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care delivered by registered therapists. Clients are matched based on their needs.
    • Group Programmes: Support for stress, anxiety, PTSD, sleep problems, and more—integrating psychological and physical wellbeing.
    • Support for Adults, Children & Families: Customised family-focused mental health interventions.
    • Staff Wellbeing Services: Workshops and models addressing trauma, moral injury, and resilience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

For Organisations

Frontline staff in provider organisations now face greater wellbeing pressures than ever before. At Arian Wellbeing, we recognise that workplace mental health must be approached with nuance, cultural sensitivity, and clinical depth. What sets us apart is our ability to meet the complex and varied needs of today’s workforce by developing tailored wellbeing programmes which support individuals while also building a resilience culture in your teams.

  1. We understand diversity. Our culturally responsive model supports staff from all backgrounds, ensuring interventions are respectful, relevant, and accessible across languages, identities, and lived experiences.

  2. We tailor care, not standardise it. With a team of highly qualified clinical psychologists, therapists, and wellbeing experts, we provide flexible, evidence-based services tailored to the specific needs of your workforce.

  3. We go beyond prevention. Our work spans the full spectrum—from proactive wellbeing support to managing active distress, including anxiety, burnout, trauma, and other clinical concerns.

  4. We bridge lived experience with clinical excellence. Our team brings both personal insight and professional training, helping break down stigma and reduce fear around seeking support.

By combining psychological insight with organisational impact, we help foster not just individual wellbeing for your staff, but a stronger, more resilient workplace culture.

Answers To Common Questions About Our Refugee-focused Therapy Services

We understand the psychological impact of displacement, trauma, and cultural disruption. Our team offers care in over 15 languages and ensures all interventions are culturally sensitive and trauma-informed.

  • We provide one-to-one and group therapy for both adults and children. Sessions are led by highly qualified clinical psychologists and therapists with deep experience in refugee mental health. Services are available remotely or in-person, depending on local needs and preferences.
  • Programmes are co-designed with commissioners. Group therapy is typically delivered in 6–10 week series, while individual therapy follows an assessment and bespoke care plan. We are flexible to fit local delivery models and contract requirements.
  • All practitioners are trained in culturally responsive care. We match clients with multilingual therapists or use interpreters when needed. We adapt language, session content, and delivery to ensure services are accessible, respectful, and relevant across cultures and identities.
  • Our interventions are grounded in evidence-based models such as CBT, NET, and trauma-focused therapy. In our previous NHS and council partnerships, 87% of clients showed reduced PTSD symptoms. We provide regular reporting and outcome monitoring to support transparency and continuous improvement.
  • We typically mobilise within 2–4 weeks. Our team works closely with commissioners to establish referral pathways, safeguarding protocols, and reporting requirements. We can scale services up or down depending on demand.
