Department Overview
The Noticing department is responsible for the process of submitting permits through systems for key areas. Working closely with the Operations department to adhere to key legislations to ensure work carried out in specific areas are working with the required council
JOB OBJECTIVE
The role of Noticing Co-ordinator is to submit notices to the local authorities and liaise with them to ensure the works progress in the required timescales, whilst supplying feedback to the operations teams with any information that arises to upkeep relationships with local authorities.

- Hours of Work: 8:30am – 17:00pm / Monday to Friday
- Rate of Pay: £26,000
- Work Location: Knowsley (Soon to be relocating to L24)
- Travel Requirements: No
- Holiday Entitlements: 33 days including Bank Holidays
- Benefits: Standard Benefits Package
Key Responsibilities
- To act as a point of contact to deal with queries from the local authorities and MJQ operations team.
- Notices on the “required by date” as requested from the operations team.
- Managing the day-to-day work volumes for Noticing & Permits through our internal processes and systems.
- Follow the street works notification as per Highways Authority guidelines and processes.
- Manage all works comments and associated modifications in a timely manner.
- Follow Noticing and Permit processes, using third party sources and websites to obtain date certainty.
- Delivering excellent customer service to our customers to ensure the best customer experience.
- Assessing permit applications from operations staff to ensure all works are compliant with legislation and appropriate permit scheme operations.
- Receiving and recording timely starts, stops, and register activities to avoid financial penalty.
- To always promote a positive and professional image of the department, by adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Raising and following up on non-conformance reports, to ensure that any actions identified, pursued, and resolved.
- Work as part of a larger team to develop working practices and procedures.
- Work safely and responsibly within MJ Quinn’s values and operational policies, procedures, and accepted behaviours to avoid harm to yourself, those around you and our neighbours and communities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Excellent communication skills
- Competent on Excel
- Permitting/ noticing experience (preferred)
- Customer service skills
- Have a high standard of numeracy.
- Be educated to a G.C.S.E level B+ in Mathematics & English (or equivalent).
- Be computer literate.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Follow MJQ H&S Policies.
- Do not use/repair equipment without training.
- Keep office clear and know emergency procedures.
- Avoid unsafe lifting/reaching.
- Suggest improvements and attend H&S training.
