We are a confidential listening service, proudly run by students, for students.
We have been helping the students of Nottingham talk through what's on their mind since 1973 and we are available from 7 pm - 8 am every night of the term and 24/7 over emails.

Confidentiality Policy
How we use your data? We do not trace calls, record any personal information about the caller, or any information they have shared with us. We do record the duration of the call and the theme of the call (e.g. 'academic stress') in order to ensure our volunteer training meets the needs of our callers.
When confidentiality may be breached to a third party?
- The caller is under the age of 18 and is at risk of harm
- The caller is a vulnerable adult and is at risk of harm
- The caller has reported harm to an individual under the age of 18
- The caller has given their location and reveals that they are in immediate risk of harm from another person
- The caller has given their location and has an immediate plan to end their life, or has already taken steps to do so
- The caller has given us information regarding terrorist actions
- We are presented with a court order requesting disclosure of information regarding a call
- Nottingham Nightline reserves the right to report certain serious abuses of the service

This year we were overwhelmed to be awarded the Nightline of the Year award at the Nightline Association conference! We are so proud of what our volunteers have been able to achieve over the past year and look forward to continuing our work next year

Our specific suicide and self-harm training for volunteers won us this award once again!
